Duration: 1 hour
Cost: $65 per person (includes ground fee)
A progressive pole work session focused on developing strength, power, and coordination at trot and canter.

* Core stability and trunk control at higher speeds
* Engagement and carrying power through the hindquarters
* Improved rhythm, straightness, and adjustability
* Development of topline strength under increased load
This session is technical and gymnastic rather than fast or height-focused, prioritising movement quality and correct muscle use.
1pm - Groundwork Pilates with Poles – Strength, Posture & Balance
Duration: 1 hour
Cost: $65 per person (includes ground fee)
A progressive groundwork session using carefully designed pole exercises to improve your horse’s posture, balance, coordination, and muscular development without the added challenge of a rider.
Suitable for horses of all ages and stages of training, this class can be completed in-hand or on a long rein, making it an excellent option for young horses, rehabilitation and return-to-work programmes, older horses, horses lacking confidence, or those simply needing to improve strength and body awareness.
The exercises are designed to encourage your horse to move with greater self-carriage, engage the core musculature, and develop correct movement patterns that transfer directly into ridden work.
Focus areas include:
* Core stability and abdominal engagement
* Thoracic sling activation and improved forehand stability
* Development of topline and postural muscles
* Improved balance, coordination and proprioception
* Straightness and symmetrical muscle development
* Increased joint mobility and flexibility
* Strengthening of the hindquarters to improve propulsion and carrying power
* Rhythm, relaxation and body awareness through controlled movement
Pole layouts and exercises are individually adapted to suit each horse’s current level of fitness, confidence and experience, allowing every combination to progress safely and correctly.
Groundwork Pilates is an excellent way to build a stronger, more balanced horse while reducing unnecessary physical strain. By improving posture, coordination and muscular control from the ground, horses are better prepared for ridden work and can develop more efficient, comfortable movement patterns.
Whether your goal is rehabilitation, improved performance, injury prevention or simply giving your horse a beneficial workout, this class provides a structured, supportive environment focused on quality of movement rather than speed or intensity.
