There was a time when all we knew was earth, fire, water, air and ether… Now our modern lives are full of inertia, tension, confusion, distraction and numbness.
Our bodies are made from these fundamental building blocks of the universe; and in this way the elements exist inside of us in both a real and symbolic way.
Just like the shadow…
What is it to find our ground when feeling stuck?
Or avoid burning up from the tension inside of ourselves?
Can we simply sweat our prayers without drowning in the chatter of the mind?
May we allow the sacred nature of the breath without ending up in the clouds?
