Take action for endangered wildlife with ZooTampa on World Okapi Day!
Join us on Saturday, October 18, for our Electronics Recycling Drive with Urban E Recycling! From 10:00AM until 1:00PM, near Zoo School at the drive-thru area near the North Blvd. parking lot, we will provide an environmentally friendly way to help you dispose of unwanted electronics. All electronics will be accepted free of charge, including desktop computers, consumer e-waste, flatscreen monitors mobile phones, and even holiday string lights.
Help our planet by gathering up those old devices so they can be repurposed and used again! Cell phones and other handheld electronic devices contain a material called coltan, which is often destructively mined in Central Africa, home to many endangered species like okapi, chimpanzees, and gorillas. So, rather than throwing them in the trash, bring them to the Zoo on October 18 for our recycling event!
