About this Event
As the weather cools and we bring our plants back inside for the season, give your indoor garden a boost with a touch of creativity and plant-friendly science. Join us for ElectroGarden, a hands-on workshop exploring electroculture gardening—an ancient practice that harnesses subtle energy to encourage plant growth.
In this session, you’ll learn how copper functions as a micronutrient, supporting healthy plant development, and discover practical ways to use copper wire as both a plant supporter and decorative accent. We’ll guide you step by step as you craft DIY fall-inspired shapes—think leaves, pumpkins, and other seasonal motifs—that you can place in your houseplants to enhance their vitality and bring a touch of autumn indoors.
By the end of the workshop, you’ll have:
- A deeper understanding of copper’s role in plant health.
- Hands-on experience shaping and installing copper decorations that support your plants.
- Beautiful, one-of-a-kind fall-themed creations to enrich your indoor garden.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of gardening experience. You’ll have the opportunity to work outdoors in the natural setting of The Pollen Patch, get hands-on with your plants, and connect with other plant enthusiasts. All materials and instruction are provided—bring your favorite houseplants and your curiosity. Leave with unique, functional copper creations that enhance your indoor garden and celebrate the season, along with practical knowledge to continue nurturing your plants at home.
Your ticket includes:
- An introduction to electroculture gardening and how copper benefits plants
- Step-by-step hands-on instruction
- Two copper wire plant stakes to design and take home
- Food, snacks, and beverages provided during the workshop
- The option to purchase & craft additional copper supports at the event
- Cozy bonfire with s’mores, creating the perfect fall atmosphere
Guests are encouraged to bring a potted plant companion that they’ll get to introduce and “dress up” for the fall season, along with a creative spirit. Chairs will be provided, though you’re welcome to bring a favorite chair of your own.
Since this is an outdoor event, please dress for the weather and bring anything you need to stay comfortable—jackets, blankets, bug spray, water, etc.

Free parking is available at the Pollen Patch! From South High St, turn onto W Morrill Ave. and the parking lot will be immediately to your right. Double parking is permitted as the spaces are extra long. If lot becomes full, there is free street parking on High St. Enter the garden through the dark green metal fence!
