About this Event

Join Seattle City Light and the University of Washington for a tour of a solar canopy EV-charging project in the UW E18 parking lot. This charging installation is open to students, staff, and members of the public during the day and is used to charge the university’s growing electric fleet at night.

This event will include:

  • Background on the project from UW’s Transportation Services department and the student-run UW Solar organization
  • Lessons learned and challenges during project completion
  • Goals for future fleet and transportation electrification projects on campus
  • Information about the Seattle City Light Business EV Charging Program that provided a portion of project incentives

Come join us to learn more about all of the many stakeholders that came together to make this transportation electrification project a success!

Note: this event will take place outdoors rain or shine. The solar canopy provides a great shelter!
