Key Note Speakers:
Peter Fiset – Peter is a Councilman for the Allegheny County Ingram Borough, in Pennsylvania. He was a firefighter-paramedic before changing tack to work with Holmatro for 12 years and has remained involved in extrication tool training since. He is committed to safer practice for motorsport incident responders and has conducted research on the current standards of racewear during EV thermal events.member of the SCCA Electric Vehicle Emergency Response Sub Committee and a member of the International Council of Motorsports Sciences, who has been involved in Suit Testing with Li-Battery fires,
David Ryan, David is a motorsport EV specialist and safety expert. He works as an electrical engineer and technical manager on global projects aimed at bringing cleaner more sustainable power to events and temporary environments. He is currently contracted as a the E-Safety Delegate to the FIA and has worked with Formula E and World Rally Cross. David was a cameraman at Formula One events for several years.
Bjorn Vos, Bjorn is the owner/operator of Vos Motorsport Medical, which provides medical and rescue response to motorsport events, predominantly at the Zandvoort Circuit, in the Netherlands. He is a head instructor for extrication for the Dutch ASN and has worked with the E-TCR, Extreme-E and Formula E categories all over the world.
Kurt Vollmacher – Kurt is a firefighter based in Belgium who is a dedicated advocate for firefighter safety. He is the creator and co/project lead for the ISO 17840 Rescue Information standards, and second responder standards, where he has a particular focus on EV rescue standards. He is currently developing a parallel set of EV motorsport ISO-compatible information standards. Founder of Energy Safety, member of the WRO Technical Rescue Advisor Board.
Geoff Fear - Port Macquarie resident. Technician for Hyundai Australia’s N Performance Division. The first car that he ever pulled apart was a Hillman Hunter when he was 15 years old. He spent 18 years bringing specialist car parts from Japan to Australia for both road and race cars. He continues to service cars, work as pit crew for teams and drive race cars. Last year he brough the race spec Hyundai Ioniq 5 N to the World Time Attack Challenge here at Sydney Motorsport Park, a car with which he had intimate involvement in the design and build of its EV race spec safety features.
