It’s happening, and it’s going to be bigger than ever. Electric Dreams are hosting a Father’s Day Swap Meet at Electric Dreams, and we’d all love for you to be part of it.
On Father’s Day, June 21st, we’ll be gathering at the store for a full day of fun, racing, food, cars, giveaways, and community.
They will have free track time, fresh popcorn, the Gam Gam Food Truck, and giveaways every half an hour with more than $1,000 in prizes.
The Electric Dreams table alone will have more than 600 used and new slot cars, with prices starting at just $10. Marco’s wife, Karina, has started sorting through my personal slot car collection at home, and she is very motivated to sell. So come early, because there should be some great finds.
Marc is also installing a full HO track inside the store, so there will be even more racing action to enjoy.
If you would like to reserve a table, please call Kaitlyn during business hours (310-676-7600) or email [email protected]. Tables are free, but space is limited. If you don’t have enough items for a full table, feel free to reserve half a table or team up with a friend. Karina, however, already wants a full table - feel my pain. I have no saying.
Now for the big news: we’re closing the street. The City of El Segundo has allowed us to close Hawaii Street, which means plenty of parking and space for our very first Car Meet. Bring those old buckets of rust, classics, projects, and weekend drivers for special parking. I’ll be bringing mine too, assuming Karina is not planning to sell it.
We’re putting a big push behind this event and hoping to welcome a lot of new people into the community. Many of our current racers first found us through events just like this. We’ll be releasing a video next week and distributing 2,000 flyers to help spread the word.
This is going to be a great day to meet new people, find some bargains, sell a few things, enjoy the cars, and help grow our community.
Bring your friends. Bring your family. Bring something to sell (any scale). Most of all, come be part of it.
