ARTISTS, and WRITERS, and VENDORS... OH MY!!!!
We are back for 2026!
If you haven't heard about the Electric City Comic Con then you are missing out on a great time for every age!
ECCC started off in 2015 when our library decided that we needed to offer something for our community who may not be able to make it to larger cons in the Capital Region or even down to NYCC in October each year.
We want to offer the chance that any of our children in our community can meet and talk with professionals in the comic book industry and get some tips or tricks.
Our goal has always been that as long as one child comes away from ECCC having that little spark of wanting to illustrate or write comic books fanned into a roaring fire, then it was all worth it!
ADMISSION IS ALWAYS FREE!
However there will be plenty of comic books, artwork, 3D printed goods, and other wares available to purchase from the artists themselves or any one of our awesome vendors!
We will have programs throughout the day (and leading up to ECCC26) so keep an eye out for announcements!
As always we will close out the day with our Cosplay Costume Contest in our McChesney Room where we will have both Youth and Adult categories to compete for awesome prizes!
Food Vendors will be on premises so we are your one-stop location for the day!
This year we are delighted to feature most of the creative group behind the local Kickstarter Project of "THE BRIDGE THAT EATS TRUCKS!"
This project was born out of the local lore about the Glenville Railroad Bridge on Glenridge Road. The bridge clearance only allows vehicles under the height of 10'11" to safely pass underneath. Unfortunately for those who do not pay attention to their vehicle's dimensions, a great many tractor trailers, moving trucks, and RV's have had their tops peeled back like sardine cans thanks to the bridge.
FREE PARKING available on site as well as throughout the city of Schenectady.
