Election Day is almost here! 🩷
On October 17, Nanaimo residents have the opportunity to help shape the future of our community by casting their votes in the 2026 Municipal Election!
School trustees play an important role in decisions that impact our students, families, educators, school employees, and the broader community.
Whether you’re a parent, educator, school employee, or community member, your voice matters!
🗳️ DID YOU KNOW? YOU DON’T HAVE TO VOTE FOR ALL NINE CANDIDATES!
Voters can select up to nine candidates for the Nanaimo-Ladysmith Board of Education.
That means you can vote for just one candidate, two candidates, or any number up to nine!
You are not required to fill every available spot on your ballot. You can choose the candidates you feel best represent your priorities, values, and vision for our schools.

Throughout this campaign, I’ve had the opportunity to connect with so many incredible community members, parents, educators, and school employees.
I’ve appreciated the thoughtful conversations, shared experiences, and different perspectives about the future of our schools.
