Class fee is $45 and includes a pattern book and 6 hours of fun learning. In addition, Peggi is including the book pattern for the accompanying big quilt! (A $28 value)
Peggi has been sewing for over 60 years and loves to share her knowledge with others. Thirty six years ago while working through her last and very difficult pregnancy, she discovered the only channel that worked on their old television set was PBS. And it was there that she found a friend who spoke to her heart, Eleanor Burns at Quilt in A Day. Sewing took on a new mission to begin creating heirlooms for her family, friends and charities.
Peggi is a Certified Quilt in a Day Instructor having spent four days in Paducah with Eleanor. She has stayed in touch with Eleanor during these years. Peggi is a Professional, Award winning Long Arm Quilter. She is also certified to teach Sew Kind of Wonderful techniques and has taught Jillily Studios and 3 Yard Quilt Classes. Along with many award winning quilts , Peggi has completed three of Bonnie Hunter’s annual mystery quilts, the most recent having over 5,000 pieces.
She has taught classes in several locations in Michigan, Oklahoma, New Mexico and even in Hawaii.
To support her “habit”, Peggi has taken a position as sales representative with Jaftex Fabrics of New York City. Jaftex owns Free Spirit, Henry Glass, Blank Quilting, Studio E, & 3 Wishes. She represents them in the state of Michigan.
Her life goal is to teach and share the love of quilting when ever & where ever she can.
