Elbow River Healing Lodge is celebrating our 20th anniversary this year!!!
We will be having an open house and vendor market to celebrate. Come join us on Weds, Sept 16th at the Sheldon M. Chumir Health Centre. Vendors will be on the main and second floor all throughout the day starting at 9am. Throughout the afternoon there will be a variety of events happening in the space. Food trucks will be outside again this year, and frybread samples up in the ERHL space. Untethered and USAY will be showcasing the augmented reality they have created sharing stories and teachings in the Indigenous art murals on the main floor. Opportunity also for clients to share a quick memory or story about Elbow River Healing Lodge for a commemorative video.
12pm: 7th floor the doors of Elbow River Healing Lodge will open starting with a performance of dancers, drummers and singer/Knowledge Keeper Adrian Goulet followed by a quick couple of speeches about Elbow River Healing Lodge.
1pm: Come join us for a circle and smudge with Elder Charlotte Yellowhorn-Mcleod.
2pm: The dancers will perform again in the Elbow River Healing Lodge space.
3pm: Dr. Lindsay Crowshoe, Walter White Bear and their band will be playing. Dr. Crowshoe welcomes everyone to bring their instruments and join in a jam session.
It’s guaranteed to be a good time. We hope to see you there.
