Set against the colourful backdrop of the Day of the Dead, this magical-realist opera by Gabriela Lena Frank and Nilo Cruz follows Frida Kahlo as she returns from the underworld to reunite with Diego Rivera. It is a powerful story of passion, pain, and the enduring bond of a legendary couple, brought to life through a "richly imagined score" and a production that bursts with the spirit of their own paintings.
