El Segundo Blue Butterfly Tour in the LAX Dunes
About this Event
Join LAWA’s Natural Resources Management team to learn about and look for the endangered El Segundo Blue Butterflies in the LAX Dunes.
The LAX Dunes are the largest remaining fragment of the southern coastal dune ecosystem in Los Angeles. This precious habitat is home to the endangered El Segundo Blue Butterfly and hundreds of other California native plants and animals. You will have an opportunity to observe the beauty of the dunes up close.

Park and Check-In
Info: Parking is at the corner of World Way West and Maintenance Road (the confirmation email has a link to coordinates on a google map). No private cars are allowed in the LAX Dunes. We will provide parking permits. We will have liability waivers to sign. We will also have photo releases where you choose to consent or reject.
