Ekphrastic Writing Workshop
About this Event
This workshop, at the Art Gallery of Greater Victoria, will be an opportunity to explore writing in response to visual art while exploring Japanese aesthetic through On the Road: Journeys Through Japanese Woodblock Prints, running from October 3, 2026, to April 4, 2027. In this three-hour, VFA-board-led workshop, participants will engage with and be guided through ways of responding to Japanese woodblock prints, seasons, and pilgrimage using metaphor, imagery, and sensory language, and will be encouraged to write two or three ekphrastic poems or prose pieces.
Workshop fee include AGGV admission
