About this Event
Join us for a relaxed and accessible creative writing workshop for ages 16+. No previous writing experience is expected and there will be no pressure to share your writing. All you need to bring is a pen and your favourite notebook.
Inspired by Henri Eugène Le Sidaner’s painting ‘The Snow’, writer and facilitator Kirsty Strang-Roy will guide us through gentle writing prompts that can be repeated at home. Focusing on the process of freewriting and the act of writing for joy, we’ll explore our senses, our stories and our place in the world.
We will also draw on Nancy Campbell’s Fifty Words For Snow and Katherine May’s Wintering, asking what winter might mean for our own creativity as the world tilts into shorter, darker days.
As spaces are limited please cancel your ticket if you can no longer attend.
Please visit https://burrellcollection.com/visit/plan-your-visit/ for more info on getting to the Burrell Collection and note that if you choose to use the car park that charges will apply. However we do have a buggy friendly shuttle bus that will collect you from the main entrance to the park on Pollokshaws Rd should you choose to use public transport or park outside the park.
