Learn how to build a pair of our favourite Eigg Stools in a half-day woodworking session! Designed to use up all the offcuts of scaffold boards, these stools is one of the many ways we’re minimising how much wood goes to landfill.Firstly, you’ll be given a short tour of our South Street premises, being taken through the journey our reclaimed timber goes through, from sorting and ‘stickering’ to preparing for resale and reuse.
Then, one of our woodworkers will guide you through the process of building your very own set of stools. From start to finish, they’ll demonstrate every step which goes into transforming a pile of reclaimed scaffold boards into a finished product. There’ll be a break half way, and at the end, you’ll take your benches away with you.
The session begins at 10:00am and will finish at approximately 1:00-2:00pm.
