Lithuanian vocalist and bandleader Egle Lape (Pranaityte) is back at Offbeat after her last performance here in December with a new set of music. Over the years, Egle has played a considerable role in the shaping of an idiosyncratic sound in the Maltese jazz and creative scenes, having lent her voice to a host of innovative and explorative local projects of which her very own Organic Choir Malta is a prime example. Egle will be bringing with her 3 sidemen we all know and love here at Offbeat, and together they’ll play a couple of sets of music featuring compositions from Bill Evans, Victor Young, Steve Swallow and a number of original pieces. You will not want to miss this one.
