Mt. Glorious to experience an enchanting afternoon of sparkling chamber music in the atmospheric and newly renovated Elm House.
Mozart’s Flute Quartet in D major KV 285 opens the program with elegance and charm followed by Jean Françaix’s String Trio full of humour wit and sparkling energy. The concert concludes with Dvořák’s Quartet in F major op. 96 ‘American’ Quartet adapted for flute and strings offering a fresh perspective on this beloved masterpiece with it’s rich folk-inspired themes.
