Effective Communication Skills

This online session will take place over Microsoft Teams.

This session is designed to refresh staff’s knowledge of communication skills to enable them to get the best out of communicating with patients.

It is a fun interactive session but does not contain role play so don’t stress over that! We will look at the communication skills you use every day and build on those skills. The session is intended to provoke thinking about how we respond to patients in different situations and how by adjusting our response we can achieve different conversational outcomes. To aid this we will discuss ‘the circle of control’ and how, by using this tool, we can not only strengthen our personal resilience but also learn different ways of approaching our daily workload.

An Outlook calendar invite will be sent out after booking and a joining link will be sent out closer to the time of the session so make sure the email address you have provided is accessed before the session.
