Effective Altruism (EA) is a global movement built on a simple but powerful idea — that by thinking carefully and acting on evidence, each of us can have a dramatically larger positive impact on the world. It's not about doing something good. It's about doing the most good possible.
We're gathering to form a community of EA Slovakia — a community rooted in intellectual curiosity, ambition, and genuine care for the world. This is your invitation to be part of it.
What are we building?
Community & knowledge — A community for people who want to think seriously about global challenges. We plan to host regular meetups, as well as lectures, workshops, or potentially also facilitate career consultation, book clubs and organize conferences.
Support for high-impact endeavours — Support for entrepreneurs, researchers, and students exploring high-impact ideas and career paths. We also plan to offer free one-on-one consultations on EA career paths, opportunities, and effective giving.
Part in the global movement — Participation in international conferences, working groups, and international projects.
