Russia’s war against Ukraine is a fight over the country’s future, and its younger generation are refusing to let that future be taken from them.
On April 23, join us for a powerful and personal conversation with four extraordinary Ukrainian teenagers who are stepping up as leaders in the midst of war. Through UActive, a program launched by Spirit of America in partnership with savED, they are rebuilding their communities and shaping what comes next.
You’ll hear firsthand how these students are restoring schools, creating community spaces, and bringing hope back to places devastated by Russia’s invasion. Their stories are a testament to resilience and a reminder that Ukraine’s future is already in motion.
This conversation will explore how human and social capital—especially education—are being preserved and strengthened in wartime Ukraine and draw on saveED’s new research, War, Education and Social Capital: Three Years into the Full‑Scale Invasion.
These students embody the future of a free, democratic, and vibrant Ukraine. We hope you’ll join us to hear their stories and learn how you can help support the next generation of Ukrainian leaders.
Light refreshments will be served.
