Join us for a hands-on beekeeping experience led by a local beekeeper Bruce Snavely with 17 years of experience in the field. He sells local honey at the Black Lab Coffee Co. in Republic!
Whether you're a curious beginner or looking to deepen your knowledge, this class is designed to be both educational and exciting!
In this comprehensive session, you'll learn everything you need to know about caring for your own bees. He’ll start with the basics—understanding the crucial role bees play in our ecosystem—and move on to more advanced techniques, such as hive management, seasonal care, and even honey extraction.
Our expert beekeeper will share insider tips on building and maintaining a healthy hive, managing bee populations, and ensuring your bees thrive.
You’ll discover the fascinating science behind bees’ amazing abilities and how their work directly impacts our environment and agriculture.
Expect plenty of visual opportunities—learn how to get suited up to inspect a hive and to spot the queen.
