Education and skills forum

This session forms part of the 2025 programme and builds directly on the discussions and priorities raised at the Forum on 17 February 2026. It moves the conversation forward - from insight and reflection into practical, collaborative action.

Building on the momentum of last year’s Education and Skills Forum and the Linking Business and Education event, this working forum brings together employers, education and training providers, and key stakeholders to explore shared challenges and opportunities across education, skills, and workforce development.

While the specific focus of the session will be confirmed, the forum is designed as an opportunity for meaningful engagement - creating space for participants to share experience, challenge assumptions and surface insight from practice. The session will support the gathering of evidence and perspectives that can help inform future regional activity and contribute to wider national policy conversations, while remaining firmly grounded in real-world delivery.

The session will combine networking, short inputs, interactive workshops and collaborative activity. It is a working forum focused on action - bringing employers, providers and stakeholders together to learn from one another, generate practical resources, and contribute insight that supports longer-term system improvement at both regional and national level.
