The Edinburgh Highland Reel & Strathspey Society (EHRSS) is delighted to be returning to The Queen's Hall again to present another varied programme of traditional Scottish fiddle music. The concert will feature the orchestra under the baton of well known Scottish fiddle player Yla Steven BEM who last year was entered into the Scottish Traditional Music Hall of Fame. We will be playing a selection of marches, strathspeys, reels, jigs and hauntingly beautiful slow airs.
In addition, EHRSS welcomes back the wonderful singer Christopher Haggerty to sing with the orchestra. He has a beautiful tenor voice singing Scottish songs in a glorious way.
Our piper, Alexander Sime-Scott, will start the concert off in the traditional manner with his expert skill on the bagpipes.
This year we will also have the junior choir Blackhall St. Columba's Singers who will also be singing beautiful Scottish songs.
