Join us as we retreat together to read and study God’s Word, enjoy time together eating, playing games, doing crafts, and making connections with other women! Our sessions will be exploring the impact of several women mentioned in the Book of Acts and their influence on the growth of the first church. The Spirit called and empowered these women to help spread the message of his wonderful work, even at a time when women’s voices tended to be silenced and their value certainly questioned. But the Spirit did not silence them. No, he emboldened them. Indeed, they were EYEWITNESSES to the work that God was doing in and through the church and INFLUENCERS as they used their gifts to nurture and help the baby church by filling the gap with their faithful love, words, and works. We will discover how we still can influence the church today!
Our annual Fall Retreat will be at Camp Milan, 12905 13th St., Milan, IL. Our retreat begins at 6:00 pm on Friday with dinner, followed by worship and one session and then some fun and encouraging activities. We will continue on Saturday, wrapping up by 3:00 pm. There is a comfortable meeting space, a kitchen, bathrooms and bunk areas.
Carpooling can be arranged from church. What to bring: Comfortable clothes, your Bible, games you may want to play, and a snack, dessert, or 2-liter beverage to share, sleeping bag (or twin sheets and blankets), towels, and a lawn chair for a bonfire on Friday night.
