Get ready to go nuts in Edenton! Join us on Saturday, October 4, 2025, for the Nut Run, an exciting kickoff to the 50th Annual Peanut Festival! Runners will enjoy a one-of-a-kind race experience through the scenic streets of historic Downtown Edenton and the rich farmland of Chowan County—home to generations of peanut growers.Choose from a 5K, 10K, or take on the 15K Nutty Challenge by running both back-to-back! The course blends charming waterfront views, colonial architecture, and stretches of active peanut fields just before harvest—offering a crisp fall morning full of Southern charm and small-town energy.
In order to complete the 15K Nutty Challenge you'll need to finish the 10K within 1.5 hrs and start the 5K on time at 8:30am.
After crossing the finish line, stick around for a full day of festival fun:

5k - road course through historic Downtown Edenton, Hayes Farm, and the Historic Edenton Mill Village
10k - combination of road and trail course through Hayes Farm and active farm fields
