About this Event

We are thrilled to announce this year's keynote speakers are adventurer and storyteller Laura Killingbeck, who wrote the brilliant reflection on the Man or Bear debate that went viral, and Hafez Ismaili M’hamdi, an associate professor at the Department of Ethics, Health and Society at Maastricht University, vice-chairman of the Center for Ethics and Health and a councilor at the Council for Public Health & Society.

Laura Killingbeck’s “unpacking of what patriarchy means and how it impacts both men and women is one of the most clear and brilliant I have read” - Rebecca Solnit, (author of Men Explain Things to Me).
Details of our additional speakers, workshops, networking and other elements will be shared with you in the coming weeks and months, but our programme is shaped around pathways to inclusion, from the perspective of individuals and organisations as well as the socio-economic viewpoint. And, to make this year's event even more special, it will take place in the unique historical location of the ss Rotterdam.
Why this theme?
Diversity is measured in quantity. In the 10 years since our founder Professor Dianne Bevelander, imagined a world in which women have an equal share of power and influence, modest gains on gender diversity have been made. The public conversation around diversity, equity, and inclusion of female talent is now built upon a better understanding of gender and bias from the perspective of those negatively affected.
The public conversation has now evolved. When we speak of inclusion, we speak of including everyone, regardless of gender (identity), sexual orientation, ethnicity and nationality, and even educational, economic, or functional perspective. More importantly, for people and organisations, inclusion is no longer simply the end goal, it is also the means to better organisational performance and a sustainable, innovative, and prosperous society.
Join us in exploring the value and the pathways to inclusion.
