On August 30, the E in Suite E Studios stands for ECSTATIC DANCE!
Step into the untamed wilderness of your soul with this ecstatic dance journey, lovingly curated by DJ Rasa LaVee. With her signature blend of rhythmic magic, DJ Rasa invites you to honor the wild energy within—raw, vibrant, and unapologetically alive.
We start with an opening circle to face each other and bring our energies into the room.
Next, Christine Ghezzo will warm us up for the Ecstatic Dance set with a journey into choregraphed dance to teach us some steps to add to our moves.
We then move into our Ecstatic Dance. This set follows the Ecstatic Dance practice created by Gabrielle Roth in the 1970’s. It moves from flow to staccato and crescendos into a chaos section embodying the spirit of freedom, adventure, and the uncontainable spark of life, then ebbs into lyrical sound that is life affirming and nature based.
DJ Rasa channels her eclectic artistry—spanning folk, world based, EDM and devotional sounds—into an invitation to dance your truth and embrace your untamed self.

Catherine Dana Costa, known artistically as DJ Rasa LaVee, is a devoted curator of sound and soul. A poet, singer, and improvisational performer, her work bridges the mystical and the musical. Rasa discovered Ecstatic Dance and found joy in movement that has been a part of her life ever since. She is firmly committed to getting everyone dancing and, to that end, with the unwavering support of her dance community, has become a DJ with the intention of facilitating all-inclusive dance events.

Christine Ghezzo is a beloved local dance instructor, originally a salsa dancer from NYC. Now teaching Zumba and LaBlast in St. Pete, Christine brings joy, rhythm, and infectious energy to every room she enters. Born with mild cerebral palsy, she spent years in physical therapy before turning to dance as a way to expand her mobility — and it worked. Dance became her medicine, her strength, and her freedom. She understands the healing power of movement firsthand and is excited to share her love of dance during our opening warm up session.
