Ecstatic Dance Whitstable is a unique, sober, music and dance experience.
A collaborative space where we explore expression of self through dance, movement and community connection.
An opportunity to release, let go, energise, and come home to ourselves.
Led by Hannah, Charlotte and Lewis - A team of passionate DJs, Holistic Practitioners/Therapists, and Friends.
Together we use our combined skillset to transform halls in to temple spaces with psychedelic visuals, live percussion and state-of-the-art sound equipment.
We are supported by an A class team of guest DJ's, friends and volunteers whose energy enriches each event. Making it a safe and welcoming space for all participants.
Each event has its own unique vibe. We alternate DJs each month, each bringing their own musical delights.
Ecstatic Dance uses a range of sounds, tempos and genres both melodic and energetic to facilitate a music and dance journey.
We open and close the session ceremonially with Cacao and sound instruments such as Gongs, and Sound Bowls.
Ecstatic Dance is open to all. Wether it is your first time or you have been many times before.
7.00pm - The Doors Open
Tea is available with some time to get comfortable before we start
7.30pm The Doors Close and Locked
We come into a circle, welcome introduction and words.
Cacao sharing and short warm up.
8.00pm -9.30pm
Dance to the DJ of the night. 1.5 Hours Live DJ Set. Mixed Genre and Tempo.
9.30pm - 10.00pm
We get comfortable, melt and surrender to the sound bath.
10.00pm Session Ends.

Come with an open and curious heart
This is a journey from start to finish. Please arrive by 7.30pm at the latest. The doors will be locked and unfortunately there will be no entry after this point.
WHAT TO BRING
Comfortable clothes that you can move in
A bottle of water
Bring an optional Yoga Mat and Blanket for the Sound Bath. You’ll be lying down, and your body temperature will drop as you relax, which is why a blanket is recommended.
Children are very welcome but please be mindful not to disrupt other dancers.
You may want to bring a snack.
THINGS TO CONSIDER WHEN YOU ARE JOINING ECSTATIC DANCE
Move however you wish, respect yourself and those around you
Please respect this is a Drug-Free, Smoke-Free, Alcohol-Free environment.
We suggest shoes off to stay grounded,
But of course something light if your feet require support
We ask for no talking during the main dance. To help us dive deep quickly into the dance journey and our own experience.
Please, no photos or videos, Mobile phones muted and out of sight to stay present and contained.
There is a tier system to make it accessible to everyone based on your honesty.
If you are able to pay for the full Admission this will really support the event greatly.
