Music Vibe: A multi-genre journey that starts in drone-y ambient, moves slowly into downtempo beats, grows into steady grooves, peaks in intense and wild high-tempo vibes, comes down through the heart with emotionally moving orchestrations, and lands back down in spacey ambient. Genres include (but are never limited to): ambient, downtempo, chillout, house (organic, Afro, melodic, tech, progressive, soulful, minimal), techno, drum and bass, 140/deep dub, dubstep, UKG/breaks/bassline, classical/contemporary classical, singer/songwriter/folk, funk/soul.
Theme: Trust Yourself
Description: katiedid will take you on a multi-genre ride through the ecstatic dance wave, taking a deep journey through different moods, music styles, and emotions. With an eclectic style focused on creating opportunities for catharsis, katiedid invites you to move with whatever is present for you in each individual moment. Centered around the theme of "Trust Yourself," this mix will explore our inner knowing and internal compass, and the ways in which we can really show up for ourselves in our lives.
Bio: Meet katiedid, a multi-genre artist bringing catharsis to dance floors. As an ecstatic dance DJ and dedicated force in the world of journey-based dance music, she creates hypnotic containers and eclectic musical landscapes that invite dancers to express a full spectrum of emotions. Since her debut in 2009, katiedid has curated hundreds of dance sets that travel through a wide span of genres, including (but never limited to) melodic, organic and progressive house, drum and bass, garage and breaks, techno, dubstep, contemporary classical, soul, funk and ambient. As a resident artist at the Dallas Movement Collective, katiedid's influence extends beyond the decks and includes leading mentorship programs for aspiring DJs, shaping the very fabric of the local dance scene.
In her 15 years of playing music for dancers, she he has shared stages with acclaimed artists like Thievery Corporation, Flying Lotus, Random Rab, Liquid Bloom, Balkan Bump, Savej, Russ Liquid, Mindex, Govinda, ill.Gates, and Kaminanda. Beyond the Dallas dance community, katiedid has made her mark at prestigious venues like the Kripalu Center and Omega Institute, providing musical support for Toni Bergins, the founder of JourneyDance, and Lorca Simons, co-founder of 5 Rhythms Live Wire.
Her artistry shines with its versatility, featuring sets that weave her unique blend of skills as a classical pianist, composer, electronic producer, tech nerd, theatre kid, and lifelong dancer. In addition to her solo endeavors, katiedid collaborates with Chelsee Cynesthesia in the indietronica band Beckon, producing original music that adds another layer to her rich artistic tapestry. With a philosophy grounded in catharsis and the embodied exploration of emotions, katiedid continues to make an enduring imprint on the world of ecstatic dance through her transformative movement journeys.

Title: African Dance
Facilitator: Sarah Lee Parker
Description: Baba and Sarah Lee teach a variety of traditional dances from Guinea, Mali and Senegal, West Africa. You will find yourself enjoying the movements of these dances, as well as the workout it gives you. With their friendly "show and go" style of teaching, you will develop the strength, fitness and coordination needed to move and express yourself through these amazing and joyous African dances. In class, you will learn the movement vocabulary and rhythms that make up this beautiful art form and meet great like-minded people. Come out and give it a try, you will LOVE IT!
