Ecstatic Dance: An Embodiment Practice
Dancing builds neuroplasticity, a way to connect with your physical body, releases endorphins, boosts dopamine, reduces symptoms of depression, reduce stress, loosens joints, provides a fun way to exercise, helps you find community and connect with others, and so much more! At In-Body Connection I have built a container for people to come and explore how to express oneself through movement.
What to Expect:
1. Welcome! - sign in when you get there. First 15 minutes is greetings, use of facilities, and meeting people!
2. Grounding Circle - set intention and discuss house rules and guidelines/requests
3. Guided Body release - with Julia, our facilitator, to help you connect to the body and begin to move
4. Flow right into DANCE!
5. Cooldown
6. Close and Thank you!
7. Reflection Circle - feel free to stay with the group after our closing circle for community updates and other group support. This has a max time of 30 minutes post the event. Absolutely not required. Feel free to leave at any time after we do our closing and thank you!
