Day 2 Surveying Insects and other invertebrates.10am til 3ish with breaks along the way. Stop for lunch around 12.30, bring a packed lunch.
For the first hour or so of day with a look at the Moth Traps we'll have left out overnight. We'll look at the species attracted and talk about how best to identify and record them. We'll think about recording other insect groups.
Next, we'll have a go at catching and identifying river invertebrates (and possibly pond invertebrates if time allows). We'll look at how they can be used to give an insight into water quality.
If time allows we will also do some Tree identification.
