About this Event
Who we are: Nikibii Dawadinna Giigwag is a land-based Indigenous youth program at the University of Toronto. Each year, with the support of the City of Toronto's Urban Forestry Grants and Incentives Program, we plant up to 1,000 native trees and shrubs to restore the region's biodiversity and ecological health.
About the event: We invite the community to join NDG in partnership with UTSC Grounds to plant 300 native trees and shrubs along the Highland Creek Ravine at the UofT Scarborough Campus on Saturday, October 18, from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm.

- If you are arriving via TTC at the UTSC campus, follow the Valley Trail down to the meeting location (just past the bridge over the creek).
- If arriving by car, the address is 130 Old Kingston Road. Parking is by the baseball field.
Who can join us: Everyone is welcome. No prior experience is required. Participants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Pets are not permitted at this program. Service animals are always welcome.
Volunteer credits: High school students can obtain volunteer credits. Don't forget to bring the form with you.
What to bring:
- We will supply shovels and gloves.
- Wear closed-toe shoes, long pants, and a hat.
- Bring water, lunch and snacks as there are no vendors nearby.
