Eco-Grief Café Tour
About this Event
The Eco-Grief Cafés are community-rooted and spiritually intentional gathering spaces for QTBIPOC youth to process the emotional realities of living through climate crisis, displacement, genocide, burnout, many isms (including facism), and collective uncertainty, together. The cafés are soft places to land. Spaces where grief is celebrated and invited into the room with us, as evidence of our love and connection to the Earth, our ancestors, and to the futures we are trying to protect. Each gathering blends conversation, a tea ceremony, cultural practices (i.e. yoga), knowledge sharing, reflection and community care.
Youth are encouraged to trace their roots and lineages, mapping the knowledge, traditions and people that shape them. Through wellness rituals and teachings around grief and land-connectedness, this initiative seeks to alchemize emotional overwhelm and loss into collective agency and action, fueling our movements for social and political change forward.
