Echoes in Motion

"Echoes in Motion" is a deeply immersive dance class that invites participants to explore the profound connections between body, mind, emotion, and spirit through the unique lens of Butoh-inspired techniques. The class blends structured exercises with freeform exploration to uncover authentic personal expressions. Participants will begin by delving into movement mechanics, focusing on breath, bodily textures, rhythm, and the integration of voice and effort. Through vivid imagery and improvisational movement, they will investigate the dynamic relationship between internal emotions and external form, discovering how thought and spirit shape physical expression.

This journey moves from the tangible to the ethereal, using life’s rhythms and the methodologies of Butoh to peel back the layers of existence and find resonance within. Participants will also work closely with music and external influences, integrating these elements into their dances to create rich, multifaceted expressions.
