Since debuting as a partnership in 2018, they have captivated audiences and students worldwide, teaching and performing across the US, Singapore, Cuba, Germany, Italy, Mexico, China, Canada, and Australia. Praised for their engaging teaching style, they make intricate footwork and partnerwork accessible to dancers of all levels. Join us for Échale Bachata Austin’s upcoming social, featuring an Urban Bachata class taught by two incredible local instructors, Johnny Vaquiz & Basia Kaczmarek! With over 20 years of experience, Johnny has been a key figure in shaping Austin’s dance scene—co-founding the Texas Latin Dance Club at UT Austin and leading Pasiones Unidas, the city’s first bachata team, to international performances. His teaching style transforms every dance into an expressive dialogue, letting the music guide movement and connection. Basia, a 15-year dance instructor and former competitor, brings a unique perspective, blending strong fundamentals with musicality and creativity. Her approach ensures dancers move with confidence, ease, and connection on the dance floor. Don’t miss this chance to learn from two passionate instructors before a night of nonstop Bachata vibes!
