We are delighted to welcome the European equine internal medicine community to Cluj-Napoca for the 2026 edition of the ECEIM Congress — a scientific meeting designed for board-certified specialists, residents, and colleagues committed to advancing evidence-based equine medicine.

Hosted at Hotel Napoca, this year’s congress will offer a high-level scientific programme covering cutting-edge developments in equine internal medicine, with focused sessions on "the forgotten horse" and many more subjects: donkey and working equid medicines, the wild horses of the Danube Delta, the critically ill equine, infectious disease etc. Interactive case discussions, resident-oriented sessions, and clinically applicable lectures will ensure both academic depth and practical relevance.
A key highlight of the 2026 edition is the official partnership with the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine of Cluj-Napoca (USAMV Cluj-Napoca). As an academic co-host, USAMV will provide workshop facilities, contribute to the scientific programme, and actively support resident engagement and educational exchange. This collaboration reflects a strong commitment to European academic integration, postgraduate education, and the advancement of equine internal medicine in Europe.
Pre-congress workshops and selected sessions will take place within the USAMV campus, fostering direct interaction between clinicians, researchers, and residents in a dynamic academic environment.
Beyond science, the congress will combine academic discourse with the distinctive cultural atmosphere of Transylvania. The social programme includes a welcome cocktail at USAMV and a gala dinner in the historic former Casino building in Central Park.
