ECCP/Bradley’s Law- 4th of July Parade!

CALLING ALL ENFIELD COMMUNITY CAT PROJECT AND BRADLEY’S LAW SUPPORTERS!!
FOR THE FIRST TIME EVER, ENFIELD COMMUNITY CAT PROJECT (ECCP) WILL BE MAKING A FLOAT AND MARCHING IN THE ENFIELD, CT 4TH OF JULY PARADE ON JULY 11TH, 2026 AT 11:00 AM!!!!
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MAKE THIS HAPPEN! WE ARE STILL IN THE EARLY STAGES OF PLANNING AND DON’T HAVE MUCH TIME!!
PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE OR COMMENT HERE (or email me at [email protected]) IF YOU WANT TO JOIN THE EFFORT!
WHAT WE HAVE:
• We are soo grateful that STAUFFER SHEET METAL, LLC of Broad Brook, CT has agreed to register as a commercial participant in the parade to pull our float!! Thanks soo much guys!!
• A beautiful convertible Lexus to take the lead for our group (thanks Kate Bouley!!).
WHAT WE NEED:
• Dedicated parade planning/organizing folks!! We will meet virtually to start planning efforts on 6/6 or 6/7.
• A registered flat trailer (small to medium) to decorate and pull in the parade!
• A local place (larger garage, barn, or commercial space) to temporarily store and assemble the float. Thinking the space would be needed between 6/27 and 7/11.
• Cat/Pet/Rescue Themed Decorations and Printed Banners for the float and support vehicles.
• Folks to assemble the float- Weekend of 6/27-6/28, 7/4-7/5, and early morning on 7/11.
• Animal lovers of ALL AGES that want to 1) help us represent the cats in need of help in our community AND 2) help to spread the word about Bradley’s Law (which would include ALL domestic animals in CT) before November 2026 (when the law would need to get pushed for consideration in 2027).
• People of all ages to March with us on 7/11. Lets get creative! Extra credit for kids and adults dressed up in Bradley's Law Shirts or as the domestic animals we are fighting soo hard to represent.
