The new Wha’s Showcase format does what it says on the tin: giving potential festival goers a taste of what to expect. It features a Scottish band paired with a visiting band.
Doris Brendel
Award-winning singer Doris Brendel and guitarist/producer Lee Dunham set sail on a brand-new musical adventure with Pirates of the Iron Sky — a high-energy Celtic prog rock show filled with powerful songs, storytelling, pirate costumes and spectacular visual imagery.
Inspired by their forthcoming album, the show follows a band of unlikely sky pirates on a hunt for a legendary treasure, weaving the story through original music, narration and cinematic visuals. Expect driving rock, Celtic influences, progressive twists and plenty of swashbuckling spirit.
And you’re invited to join the crew. Calling all pirates, Vikings, mermaids, witches, wizards, faeries, dragons and other strange folk of land, sea and sky. Come in costume, add a touch of piratical finery, or simply come as you are.
Raise the colours, prepare the engines and climb aboard the Iron Sky!

EBB
With their imaginative and spectacular stagecraft, EBB have quickly established themselves as a fresh and exciting force to be reckoned with on the prog scene, voted as “Best New Band” in 2023 by Prog magazine and in 2024 by HRH Prog. Their debut EP Death and the Maiden was followed by Mad and Killing Time, a second EP The Management of Consequences and album The Mirror all received great critical acclaim. Their brilliant live set is constantly evolving so you never know quite what to expect, but rest assured it will be endlessly entertaining. Miss them at your peril!
Line-up: Erin Bennett (guitars, lead vocals), Suna Dasi (backing vocals, synths), Nikki Francis (Hammond, piano, synths, saxophone, flute, clarinet), Bad Dog (bass), Anna Fraser (drums and percussion), Kitty Biscuits (backing vocals, percussion, spoken word poetry)
