This project is a great introduction to quilt-as-you-go, where your fabric is pieced and quilted at the same time. You'll build your stocking one section at a time, making the process easy to follow—and eliminating the need to quilt a larger piece at the end.
Along the way, you'll learn about:
✨ Fabric placement and colour coordination
✨ Accurate stitching
✨ Simple quilting techniques
✨ The easy-to-master stitch-and-flip method
By the end of the class, you'll have the skills—and hopefully a completed or nearly completed Christmas stocking—to add a handmade touch to your holiday celebrations!
This is a fun and practical project for anyone looking to learn a new technique, try quilt-as-you-go, or simply get a head start on some holiday sewing. After all, Christmas has a funny way of sneaking up on us! 🎅
Cost:
Members: $35.00 + PLUS pattern fee $5.00
Non-Members: $80.00 + PLUS pattern fee $5.00
OPTION: Fabric, batting and pattern for additional $25
