Easy Access Rides: New Year Ride to Whittier Narrows Nature Center

Join ActiveSGV for the New Year as we host our first 2025 E-asy Access ride from our Jeff Seymour Family Center. We will ride to various points of interest, learn more about the Emerald Necklace network, and stop at the Whittier Narrows Nature Center for refreshments and exploring.

This ride will start and end at Jeff Seymour Family Center (10900 Mulhall St., El Monte, CA 91731) and travel on city streets and bike paths. Due to its length, it is not recommended for anyone under 12.

Pre-registration and attendance confirmation is required for all participants. If you are attending with other family members, each person must be registered separately to attend.

About E-asy Access Program:

The E-asy Access program is designed to reduce barriers to accessing parks and recreational areas in the San Gabriel Valley by providing residents with free access to high-quality electric commuter bicycles. Through a parks grant (Measure A), ActiveSGV participants can now easily access the San Gabriel and Rio Hondo River Trails and connect to dozens of parks and communities across the central San Gabriel Valley, including destinations like Whittier Narrows, Santa Fe Dam, and Hilda Solis Overlook Park.

What to Bring:

• A helmet is required if under 18
• A functional bicycle or wheeled device (highly recommended with gears)
• Front and rear bike lights
• Additional cash/credit to purchase food
• Water bottle

Bikes with training wheels are not permitted, but children are welcome to attend if pulled in a trailer or on-bike child seat.

PLEASE NOTE: All ride participants must sign a waiver to participate. A parent or legal guardian must sign for and accompany any minors under 18 participating in the ride.

RAIN POLICY: In the event of a rain forecast, we will contact you 24 hours to confirm or cancel the ride.
