For the Christian, Easter commemorates one of the greatest events in all human history: 2,000 years ago, Jesus Christ, God in the flesh, who had died on a Roman cross three days earlier, came back to life to make a way for people to belong to Him here on Earth and then to live with Him forever in Heaven after they die.
