Easter at Market City: Free Kids Activities, $15 Eats & Free Parking in the CBD

With Easter and the school holidays overlapping this year, Market City is focusing on low-cost, family-friendly activities in the CBD - combining free kids programming with budget dining and midweek events.

Open every day across Easter, Market City in the heart of Chinatown (just minutes from Central Station) is a one-stop destination for food, shopping and entertainment.

What’s On:

• Free Easter Bunny cookie decorating for kids (12–3pm, 3-6 April, Level 1 Centre Court)
• Free family activities, including table tennis and a toddler activity wall
• Three levels of markets, authentic Asian dining and retail

Budget-Friendly Dining:

Visitors can enjoy a range of popular dishes for under $15 in the Level 1 Food Court, including:

• Mr Meng – Chongqing Spicy Noodles ($13.80)
• Cam On – Beef Pho ($9.80)
• Fugetsu – Tonkotsu Ramen (small) ($12.80)
• Fugetsu – Wagyu Carpaccio Tataki ($14.90)

Upstairs, the 1909 Dining Precinct (Level 3) brings together 10 authentic Asian restaurants - plus free parking from 6pm-1am when dining.

Outside of Easter weekend, Hay St Market will host free Salsa and Bachata dance lessons every Wednesday (6pm–late, 25 March–15 April) — a fun, social activity for all skill levels during the school holidays.
