EVENT INFORMATION:
-Trail: A mild loop around the BEAUTIFUL Stony Brook Conservation Lands (also known as East Boston Camps) - 2.5 miles; easy and (mostly) flat. There are roots, rocks, some uneven ground, and so hiking boots or sneakers with high traction are a must.
We'll be meeting at the main parking lot East Boston Camps which is off of Depot Street (you will see railroad tracks briefly ; there is a rocky/bumpy road that leads you to ample, free parking). We are starting bright and early to maximize parking, privacy on the trail, and to great the weekend with gratitude! Arrive at 7:15 AM to ensure parking :)

Time: meet at parking lot by 7:15am the latest. Please be punctual! I'll have a pink clipboard and blue hiking backpack. We will leave for the trailhead promptly by 7:30am and those who are not signed in by then are welcome to join on future hikes.

***The AllTrails app says 2.6 miles and will take us just under 1 hour of slow walking to complete the loop :) *** Please know the event duration will be longer than 1 hour to factor in journaling and some mindful conversation.
Parking: free.
Difficulty level/Distance: Easy. No hiking experience needed. The trail often has roots, rocks, and mild hills. Hiking boots or shoes with traction are a must!
Restroom Facilities: No bathrooms. There are nearby gas stations.
WHAT TO BRING FOR THIS HIKE:
- Your journal and a writing tool
- A towel or waterproof mat to sit on if you're uncomfortable sitting on the ground; we will be sitting for 15-30 minutes at a time for our group connection time
- Water to drink!
- Coffee/tea to drink if you want a morning treat on the walk
- Sunblock and/or hat to protect you from the sun (recommended even in winter!)
- Comfortable hiking shoes/boots
- Comfortable layers: you will get a good sweat while walking so you may want to add/remove some layers throughout the walk.
- A daypack/backpack to carry all your items
- It is summer, so there are bugs! Bring any bug spray / layers protectant you desire
