East and Southeast Asian Heritage Month
About this Event
Celebrate East and Southeast Asian Heritage Month!
Join the NUH REACH Network for a special East and Southeast Asian Heritage Month Celebration at Sherwood Hall, City Hospital. This one-day event will bring colleagues and allies together to celebrate the rich heritage, vibrant cultures and invaluable contributions of East and Southeast Asian communities across NUH and beyond. Through a programme of cultural showcases, shared learning, discussion and networking opportunities, attendees will have the chance to deepen their understanding, build meaningful connections and reflect on the importance of inclusion, representation and belonging within our organisation.
This year's theme, "Evolving Threads", invites us to explore how our stories, identities and communities are continuously woven together across generations, geographies and experiences. It recognises the ways in which East and Southeast Asian communities have adapted and flourished through change, while maintaining cultural heritage and shaping new narratives. The theme also highlights the interconnected nature of our experiences and the importance of solidarity, reminding us that progress is achieved through collective understanding, allyship and support. Together, we will honour the past, celebrate the present and strengthen the connections that help create a more inclusive future for everyone.
