This is Part II of a 2-part Earthship Ecology Series, but can also be a standalone class (if you missed Part I).This Earthship Ecology Workshop will build on the state of the science, inviting All to join us in a citizen science research project where we will work together to develop the next evolutions in sustainable design with tools from biomimicry.
In this workshop, we will learn about all the solutions that already exist for how Earthship ecosystems treat wastewater and produce food & energy. Together we will experiment with how to incorporate new microbial fuel cell electricity-producing components into existing Earthship greywater designs. We’ll also learn how we can best partner with these plants and microbes to create systems that support our essential needs of food, water, and energy.
The Instructor for this awesome class is Elinor Stapylton, Certified Earthship Biotecture Educator. Elinor holds a Masters in Science in Biomimicry from Arizona State University and a Bachelor’s in Biology & Environmental & Urban Studies from Bard College. She has a teaching certificate in Biotecture from the Earthship Biotecture Academy. We are so delighted and grateful to have Elinor join us for this very special, excellent series of Earthship Workshops!
Space is limited for these classes and early registration is highly recommended.
Please note that although this Class is Part II of II, each Class can also be a standalone.
No refunds/exchanges unless program is canceled by SLNC. Thank you.
Elinor Stapylton is offering Workshops at the SLNC Earthship on the following Saturdays, April 25th, May 9th, and October 24th.
