Join Outdoor Murfreesboro Natural Resources for our latest native plant install, where we will be planting a full native landscape in the roundabout of the Patterson Park Community Center. Learn how traditional landscaping and native plants can intersect to provide both beauty and local habitat. Then tour the grounds of our ongoing food forest project to learn how access to native locally grown food sources can support sustainability efforts.With Andra Prewett (OMNR; Murfreesboro Indigenous Plant Project) and Riley Stevenson (OMNR; Youth LED Program; Urban Sustainable Communities Initiative)
Note: Participants must be able to bend, kneel, and manage hand tools.
Recommended: Garden gloves, hat, drinking water, soil knife or trowel, and a kneeling pad.
