About this Event
Hybrid Event - In-person or Remote participation
As energy demand continues to grow around the world, the drive to find new sources of power becomes more and more important. Electricity grids already face many stresses. Thus distributed sources of energy can create new economic activity and improve energy security in the area.
There are more and more players in the ocean energy space. Equinox Ocean Turbines is a new Dutch company that is working to develop commercial scale energy production powered by ocean currents. The company is exploring 7 areas around the globe, selected due to their geomorphology, i.e., their shape. One is in the United States.
To celebrate Earth Week 2025, the Netherlands Consulate General in NYC and the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Washington DC are organizing this educational webinar and Q&A session with representatives of MARIN USA, Equinox, and other stakeholders. Click the Link to RSVP. Feel free to forward this invite to others in the world(s) of oceans, energy, maritime and related fields.
