Using a simple blend of dirt, clay, sand, straw, and water, you'll mix your own adobe material from scratch before handbuilding a unique sculpture or functional object. Whether you choose to create a small vessel, sculptural form, decorative piece, or something entirely your own, this workshop encourages creativity and experimentation.
Unlike traditional ceramics, adobe is not fired in a kiln. Instead, your creations will dry naturally in the sun, connecting you to an ancient making process that has been used for centuries around the world.
