This guided experience invites participants to slow down, tune into the rhythms of the natural world, and learn more about the incredible bird species that call our city home.
With binoculars provided and expert guidance from local birders, this walk is perfect for beginners and seasoned nature lovers alike. You’ll gain helpful tips on how to observe and identify birds by sight and sound, and deepen your understanding of the local ecosystems right in our backyard.
What to Expect:
- A guided, beginner-friendly birdwatching tour led by DC Bird Alliance
- Binoculars available for all participants
- Insights into bird identification, behavior, and seasonal migration
- Quiet time for reflection and connection with nature
- A deeper appreciation for biodiversity in urban green spaces
Birding is a powerful mindfulness practice—one that invites stillness, awareness, and joy. Whether you're looking to learn something new or simply spend time outdoors in community, this walk offers a chance to reconnect with yourself and the land.
